Strategic Use of Tarot Cards

Due to the inherent risks, using Tarot Cards near a safe zone (like a hiding spot or entrance) is recommended. This allows for a quicker escape if an unfavorable card, such as Death, is drawn.

Each card activates immediately upon use. However, The Fool card (similar to a Joker) produces no effect. Up to ten cards can be drawn without impacting sanity. Duplicate cards yield the same effect as the original.

Understanding Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions (or Cursed Objects) are high-risk items that randomly appear in Phasmophobia contracts (depending on difficulty and game mode). Unlike standard equipment, they offer powerful ghost manipulation at the cost of significant risk to the player's character. The decision to use them is entirely strategic. Only one Cursed Possession spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings).

Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle. Each spawns in a predetermined location.
