The 4 Bead (4 Teni/Sholo Guti/4 Daane) Game is an engaging strategy game that pits two players against each other in a battle of wits. Each player starts with 4 beads, and the primary objective is to outmaneuver your opponent and protect your beads from capture. The game commences automatically once both players have registered. The first player begins, and the second player waits for their turn.
At the start of each turn, a player must select one of their beads and move it to the nearest available position. There are two distinct methods of moving beads:
- By moving to the nearest position: This method allows a player to safeguard their bead by moving it to the closest empty spot. Players are only permitted to make one such move per turn.
- By crossing an opponent's bead: If the nearest position to a player's bead is occupied by an opponent's bead, and the position beyond that is empty, the player can 'cross' the opponent's bead. This action captures the opponent's bead, removing it from play. Importantly, a player can cross multiple opponent beads in a single turn if the conditions are met. After crossing, the player must end their turn by clicking the 'PASS' button or by selecting another bead to move.
The game concludes when one player loses all their beads. For example, if Player One loses all their beads first, Player Two emerges as the victor. The strategic depth of the 4 Bead game lies in anticipating your opponent's moves and effectively protecting your own beads while capturing theirs.
