Gacha game enthusiasts have been keenly observing the financial performance of various titles within the genre. The latest figures for January 2025 have just been released, revealing some interesting trends and shifts in revenue.

Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo (HoYoverse), made headlines with its major update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika. The banner's introduction led to a significant boost in the game's earnings, doubling its revenue from $45.6 million in December 2024 to an impressive $99.4 million in January 2025. This surge underscores the game's continued popularity and the impact of new content on player engagement.

In the rankings, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with earnings of $64 million, demonstrating its strong presence in the gacha gaming scene. Not far behind, the "female gacha" game Love and Deepspace claimed the third position with $55.2 million in revenue, highlighting its appeal among a dedicated audience.

Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail experienced a slight dip, bringing in $50.8 million. On the other hand, Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant decline, with its earnings halving from $57.9 million to $26.3 million, indicating a possible shift in player interest or competition within the market.

It's important to note that these rankings are based solely on revenues generated from mobile platforms. Some of these games, such as those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, the calculation method for these figures includes a unique approach for the Chinese market: "Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published for Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country."
