"Marvel Rivals Bans Console Players Using Keyboard and Mouse"

According to a recent official announcement from NetEase Games, players caught using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles to play Marvel Rivals will face account bans. NetEase views this practice as a breach of their rules, arguing that such adapters provide an unfair edge due to heightened control sensitivity and the continued use of aiming assistance features.

Adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable the simulation of gamepad inputs using a keyboard and mouse. This setup offers a considerable advantage in competitive gameplay, particularly when auto-targeting is in play. NetEase's statement clarifies their stance: "We define adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse. This creates an imbalance in the game, especially in competitive modes."

To enforce their policy, NetEase has developed sophisticated tools capable of detecting adapter use with high precision. Once detected, the offending accounts are promptly blocked.

On another note, players have discovered that higher frame rates (FPS) in Marvel Rivals can lead to increased ping. While this might not be noticeable with low ping, a spike from 90 ms to 150 ms can significantly disrupt gameplay. This issue appears to be tied to frame rate. For now, the best advice is to await a patch from the developers that addresses this problem. In the interim, some players suggest capping the FPS at around 90 to maintain a more stable ping. This may seem counterintuitive, especially for players accustomed to higher FPS settings in games like Counter-Strike 2, but it's the current recommendation for Marvel Rivals.
