How to Play 101 Okey Vip Offline
101 Okey Vip is a multi-round game played with four players, aiming to finish with the lowest possible points. The player with the fewest points at the end of all rounds emerges as the winner. Points are calculated based on the numbers on the remaining tiles (for example, a red 3 equates to three points, while a black 11 is worth 11 points). The game concludes either when there are no more tiles to draw or when a player completes their hand.
Getting Started with the Game
To begin, a dealer is chosen who distributes 21 stones to each player, and 22 stones to the player on their right. The remaining stones are placed face down on the table, with one stone turned face up to determine the joker (OKEY piece). The game proceeds counterclockwise, starting with the player to the right of the dealer, who has 22 tiles and begins by discarding a tile without drawing one. Each subsequent player can either draw a tile from the deck or take the last discarded tile. If a player's total points in hand reach 101, they can open their hand by arranging and placing their series on the table. If unable to play a tile, a player ends their turn by discarding a tile. Every player must discard a tile at the end of their turn, even if they've completed their hand.
Joker (Okey Stone or Riziko)
The joker, or Okey stone, changes with each game. Two joker tiles, known as fake jokers, represent the number one higher than the face-up tile. These jokers have a distinct appearance. Real jokers, which vary depending on the open tile, are represented by 'fake jokers'. For example, if the indicator tile is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s in play, and fake jokers are valued as blue 6.
Deals and Showing Hands
To open a hand, you need at least 101 points, achieved by having 3 or 4 sets of different colors with the same numbers (e.g., black 5, red 5, blue 5) or a sequential set of numbers of the same color (e.g., red 7, 8, 9). A set must contain at least 3 stones. To add tiles to existing sets, you must reach the minimum of 101 points and open your hand. You can open your hand and add to other sets in the same game. If you pick up a discarded tile, you must use it. If you haven't opened your hand yet, you must do so upon picking up this tile and use it in one of your sets. If the tile can't be used, it's returned, and you draw from the deck without penalty.
Doubles
Another way to open your hand is by collecting at least five pairs of tiles. A pair consists of two identical stones. Once you open your hand with doubles, you cannot open a normal set in that game but can add tiles to sets opened by others.
