Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2: Two Methods Explained
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a unique challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details two primary methods to reach this crucial location and unlock further story progression.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood and near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken segments. Navigating this requires:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but party limitations may apply.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to cross, then the others teleport to their location using the pyramids.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap:
-
With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the ferry trip. He unlocks the waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry, perishes on the island, and is resurrected using the second pyramid and a resurrection spell or scroll.
Important Note: If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge method is generally faster and safer. Avoid attacking the ferryman unless you've saved beforehand; he retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
