Zenless Zone Zero's developers, miHoYo (HoYoverse), continue to expand the game's roster. A new trailer showcases the highly anticipated heroine, Evelyn Chevalier.
Evelyn, already a fan favorite even before official release thanks to beta testers revealing her unique battle quirk – she partially disrobes, discarding her cape to assault enemies – is an S-rank Fire-element Assault character. She'll be featured in the second banner of Zenless Zone Zero's 1.5 update alongside Nicole, Anton, and Qingyi.
The 1.5 update itself includes the customary miHoYo (HoYoverse) Polychrome compensation. Players will receive 300 Polychromes for bug fixes and another 300 for technical improvements related to the update, delivered via in-game mail.
Evelyn's gameplay centers on focused targeting. Her basic attacks draw enemy attention, facilitating extended attack chains. Multi-stage and special attacks utilize "Forbidden Bounds," binding her to the primary target. These skills inflict damage and generate Tribal Threads and Scorch Points, fueling powerful fire-based abilities that inflict substantial damage. Her visually striking combat style, involving the dramatic removal and projectile use of her cape, has further cemented her popularity among players familiar with pre-release leaks.
