The studio issued a statement to address the speculation head-on:

"Pantheons collide! We’re thrilled to present a lineup of Greek and Norse characters for this panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War where we’ll reflect on the past two decades of the series. Given the star-studded lineup and the anticipation surrounding this milestone, we want to make it clear that no announcements are planned for this event." - Santa Monica Studio

Contrary to the rumors, the event will not feature any game announcements. Instead, attendees can look forward to new thematic artwork showcasing Kratos and Jörmungandr. Additionally, the celebration will include appearances by actors from the God of War series, such as Terrence Carson, the voice of Kratos, and Carole Ruggier, who provided the voice for Athena. The panel is set to take place on March 22, offering fans a chance to reminisce and celebrate the rich history of the God of War saga.
