Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features many quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically added to your quest log. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't turned in for progression; instead, they're valuable trade goods. This guide details their location and how to profit from them.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols. Two more are located in the connected area, Aggorat. These idols aren't random enemy drops; they're found in side rooms or on pedestals.

Selling Your Treasures
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the north. He's your buyer. The idols fetch a substantial amount of gold:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields 6000 gold. Since they're valuable but take inventory space, sell them immediately after finding each one to maximize your profits and keep your inventory organized.
