Sony is adding a touch of darkness to the PlayStation 5 lineup with its new Midnight Black Collection. This stylish collection includes four premium accessories: the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal handheld, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
All accessories, except the headset, are priced at $199.99. The Pulse Elite headset will retail for $149.99. Pre-orders begin January 16th, 2025, with a full launch on February 20th, 2025, exclusively at direct.playstation.com.
The announcement follows the excitement surrounding CES 2025 and adds to the buzz surrounding potential PlayStation VR2 upgrades. The Midnight Black Collection offers a sophisticated alternative to the standard white PS5 accessories, appealing to gamers seeking a more subdued aesthetic.

The Pulse Elite headset, while more expensive than its predecessor ($149.99 vs. $99.99), also features a carrying case (though in gray felt, not black). The Pulse Explore earbuds, also priced at $199.99, offer premium in-ear audio.
Beyond the Midnight Black Collection, Sony continues to expand its DualSense controller offerings with themed designs. Following the successful releases tied to God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a limited-edition Helldivers 2 DualSense controller is now available for pre-order.
