This strategic move, following their acquisition of META Publishing in 2021, aims to support and amplify narrative-driven games from other developers.

Initial Publishing Partners and Projects

Owlcat has already partnered with two promising studios:

  • Emotion Spark Studio (Serbia): Developing Rue Valley, a narrative RPG centered around a protagonist trapped in a time loop within a remote town. The game explores themes of mental health and personal growth.

  • Another Angle Games (Poland): Creating Shadow of the Road, an isometric RPG set in an alternate feudal Japan, blending samurai culture with steampunk technology and tactical combat.

Both Rue Valley and Shadow of the Road are in early development, with more details expected soon. These partnerships highlight Owlcat's dedication to fostering innovative storytelling and expanding the variety of narrative-driven games available to players globally.
