NetherRealm Studios unleashes T-1000 and Madam Bo in Mortal Kombat 1 DLC.

Gameplay footage showcases the T-1000's Terminator 2-inspired moveset, featuring liquid metal transformations and brutal attacks reminiscent of Baraka, Kabal, and Glacius. Robert Patrick, the original T-1000 actor, provides voice work, culminating in a fatality mirroring the iconic truck chase scene.

Madam Bo joins the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as a Kameo fighter.

Simultaneously, NetherRealm surprised fans by announcing Madam Bo, a beloved character from the main storyline, as a DLC Kameo fighter. Brief gameplay glimpses show her assisting the T-1000.

The T-1000 becomes available March 18th for Khaos Reigns early access owners, with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo launches March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a standalone purchase.

The T-1000 concludes the Khaos Reigns DLC, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian. Speculation about a potential third Kombat Pack persists, fueled by the game's sales performance.

However, Warner Bros. Discovery's commitment to the Mortal Kombat franchise remains strong, with CEO David Zaslav emphasizing its importance in their strategic game portfolio. Ed Boon, NetherRealm's creative director, confirmed the studio's next project was decided three years ago and pledged continued support for Mortal Kombat 1.

While anticipation builds for a potential third Injustice game, Boon clarified that the franchise remains a possibility, citing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to Unreal Engine 4 as factors influencing the decision to develop another Mortal Kombat title before returning to Injustice. He explicitly stated that the door is not closed on Injustice.
