GTA V Military Base Infiltration and Rhino Tank Acquisition Guide
Grand Theft Auto V, despite its age, remains incredibly popular. A key factor is its continuous updates and engaging content. This guide focuses on accessing the military base, Lago Zancudo, and acquiring the coveted Rhino tank.
Locating Lago Zancudo Military Base
The military base, Lago Zancudo, is situated south of North Chumash beach. Refer to the map or the image below for its precise location. The base is heavily fortified and patrolled.
Infiltrating Lago Zancudo
Two primary infiltration methods exist:
Air Infiltration: Approaching by air (helicopter or plane) immediately triggers a two-star wanted level and a warning. Ignoring this escalates to a four-star wanted level and guided missile attacks. A parachute landing might mitigate some risk.
Ground Infiltration: A high-speed vehicle allows you to potentially jump over the surrounding terrain, landing between the outer fences undetected. Alternatively, a motorcycle might allow you to slip past a momentarily inattentive guard at the main checkpoint.
Acquiring the Rhino Tank
Once inside, locate the Rhino tank (it patrols the base). The acquisition process is as follows:
- Fire upon the Rhino tank, then seek cover.
- Repeat until the driver abandons the vehicle.
- Eliminate the driver and claim the Rhino tank.
Note: Taking the Rhino results in an immediate four-star wanted level. Seek refuge in a tunnel to avoid immediate aerial assault.
