This month's Marvel Snap (Free) deck-building guide arrives a little early to compensate for last month's delay. A new season brings new card dynamics, shaking up the meta. While last month saw a period of relative balance, the introduction of new cards promises fresh challenges and opportunities. Remember, today's winning strategy might be obsolete tomorrow; these guides offer insight, but aren't the only approach to consider.

These decks represent top-tier strategies, assuming a complete card collection. We'll explore five dominant decks and a couple of more accessible, fun alternatives.

The recent Young Avengers card additions haven't drastically altered the landscape. Kate Bishop remains consistent, Marvel Boy bolsters 1-cost decks, but other additions have had less impact. However, the newly released Amazing Spider-Man and the "Activate" ability are game-changers; next month's meta will likely be significantly different.

Kazar and Gilgamesh Combo

Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird

The rise of Kazoo to the top tier is unexpected. This deck uses familiar low-cost card strategies, amplified by Kazar and Blue Marvel buffs. Marvel Boy provides additional buffs, while Gilgamesh significantly benefits from these enhancements. Kate Bishop complements Dazzler, and her arrow effect reduces Mockingbird's cost. A strong performer, its longevity remains to be seen.

Silver Surfer Remains Dominant (Part II)

Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool

Silver Surfer remains a powerhouse, with minor adjustments reflecting balance changes and new cards. The classic Nova/Killmonger pairing provides early boosts. Forge enhances Brood's clones, Gwenpool boosts hand cards, Shaw gains strength with buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova drains opponent's power, and the Surfer/Absorbing Man combo delivers powerful finishes. Copycat replaces Red Guardian, proving a versatile asset.

Spectrum and Man-Thing Ongoing Strategy

Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum

The Ongoing archetype's top-tier status is noteworthy. This deck utilizes cards with Ongoing abilities, receiving a significant final-turn boost from Spectrum. The Luke Cage/Man-Thing synergy is potent, with Luke protecting cards from US Agent. The deck's ease of play is advantageous, and Cosmo's utility is expected to increase.

Discard Dracula Deck

Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse

This reliable Apocalypse-based Discard deck incorporates Moon Knight, enhanced by a recent buff. Morbius and Dracula are key cards, aiming for a final-round Apocalypse play, followed by Dracula consuming him for a powerful Mega-Drac, while Morbius capitalizes on discarding. Collector can prove unexpectedly effective with sufficient Swarm plays.

Destroy Deck

Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death

The Destroy deck remains largely traditional, with Attuma's recent buff solidifying his inclusion. Focus on destroying Deadpool and Wolverine, gaining extra energy with X-23, and finishing with a Nimrod swarm or Knull. Arnim Zola's absence reflects the increasing prevalence of counter-strategies.

The following are fun, more accessible decks:

Darkhawk's Return

Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature

This deck utilizes Darkhawk's strengths, incorporating Korg and Rockslide to populate the opponent's deck. It includes disruptive cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova, alongside discard effects to reduce Stature's cost.

Budget Kazar Deck

Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught

A beginner-friendly alternative to the high-tier Kazar deck, teaching the core combo mechanics. While less consistently victorious, it provides valuable experience with Kazar, Blue Marvel, and Onslaught synergies.

This month's guide concludes here. The new season and potential balance changes will undoubtedly reshape the meta by October. The "Activate" ability and Symbiote Spider-Man are significant factors, and Second Dinner's balance adjustments will be crucial to observe. The return of classic decks is interesting, but unlikely to persist. Happy snapping!
