Mastering Support in Marvel Rivals: A Tier List of Strategist Characters
Marvel Rivals boasts a diverse roster of iconic characters, but while damage dealers often steal the spotlight, strategic support characters are crucial for team survival. A | Adam Warlock and Cloak & Dagger |
B | Jeff the Land Shark, Loki, and Rocket Raccoon |
S Tier
Mantis excels at healing and buffing allies. She consumes orbs to apply damage buffs, self-heals with orbs (which regenerate), and can instantly recover an orb with a headshot. While fragile, her effectiveness scales with headshot accuracy, making her suitable for both beginners and skilled players.
Luna Snow, another top-tier support, heals allies while also dealing damage. Her Ice Art ability enhances healing and damage output, and her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, creates an AoE effect for either healing or damaging, depending on the situation. Her intuitive abilities make her a strong choice for new players. Her damage potential, while present, is secondary to her supportive role.

A Tier
Adam Warlock's standout ability is his multi-teammate revive. His Ultimate, Quantum Zone, revives fallen allies with temporary invincibility, and can even revive the same character multiple times. He also heals with Avatar Life Stream and uses Soul Bond to share damage and provide a heal-over-time effect to nearby teammates.
Cloak & Dagger offers a balanced approach. Cloak's attacks can heal or damage, and she possesses self-healing. Dagger focuses on damage and applying Vulnerability debuffs. Dark Teleportation boosts ally movement speed and provides invisibility.
B Tier
Jeff the Land Shark, while popular, lacks the robust healing of higher-tier characters. His simplicity makes him beginner-friendly, but he struggles in extended battles.
Loki's effectiveness relies heavily on player skill. He heals and summons decoys that mimic his actions, requiring precise positioning. His Ultimate allows him to shapeshift into any hero for 15 seconds.
Rocket Raccoon prioritizes utility and damage over pure healing. He can revive allies with his Respawn Machine and deals significant damage, making him a hybrid DPS/support. His performance is highly dependent on player skill and he's vulnerable due to his small size.
Ultimately, the best support character depends on personal preference and playstyle. This tier list serves as a guide, but enjoyment should be the primary factor in your choice.
