The live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has unveiled its official trailer, offering a captivating glimpse into Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. While previous teasers showcased Stitch, this trailer centers on Kealoha, providing a compelling comparison to Daveigh Chase's iconic performance in the 2002 original.
The trailer also highlights the endearing Cobra Bubbles, alongside Zach Galifianakis' Jumba and Billy Magnussen's Pleakley. Interestingly, Jumba and Pleakley appear initially disguised as their human actors, a unique twist on their usual alien appearances. However, a fleeting glimpse of Pleakley's true alien form is also shown.The trailer faithfully recreates several beloved scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic arrival resembling a falling star, his canine disguise at the animal shelter, and the heartwarming "Ohana means family" moment.
Lilo & Stitch will grace theaters on May 23, 2025, adding another live-action adaptation to Disney's growing collection of beloved classics. Its release follows closely after the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs on March 21st.
