This guide details Atakhan, the new neutral objective in League of Legends, introduced as part of the Noxus Invasion for Season 1 of 2025. Unlike other Epic Monsters, Atakhan's form and location are dynamically determined by early-game activity.
Atakhan's Spawn:
- Spawn Time: Always spawns at the 20-minute mark (Baron Nashor's spawn is shifted to 25 minutes).
- Location: Atakhan's Pit appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. Its position (Top or Bot lane) depends on which side accumulates more damage and kills in the first 14 minutes. The pit features two permanent walls, intensifying combat.
Atakhan's Forms and Buffs:
Atakhan manifests in one of two forms:
1. Voracious Atakhan: Spawns in games with less early-game aggression.
- Buff: Grants +40 gold for every champion takedown (kills and assists) to the slaying team for the remainder of the game. A one-time death mitigation effect is also granted: instead of dying, affected champions enter stasis for 2 seconds before returning to base after a further 3.5 seconds. The enemy team receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal.
2. Ruinous Atakhan: Spawns in games with significant early-game combat.
- Buff: Provides a 25% increase to all Epic Monster rewards (including previously slain objectives) for the rest of the game. The team also receives 6 Blood Petals per member, and 6 large and 6 small Blood Rose plants spawn near the pit, granting additional stats upon destruction.
Blood Roses and Petals:
Blood Roses are new plants spawning near champion deaths and Atakhan's Pit (also after Ruinous Atakhan's defeat). They grant Blood Petals upon destruction:
- Blood Petal Rewards: 25 XP (potentially increased by up to 100% for low K/D/A players) and 1 Adaptive Force (AD or AP).
- Rose Types: Small Roses grant 1 Petal; Large Roses grant 3 Petals.
Atakhan introduces a new layer of strategic depth to League of Legends, forcing teams to adapt their playstyles based on his presence and the buffs he provides.
