Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week. His family is now seeking public support to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs during his recovery.
As detailed by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to appeal for donations. The campaign page describes Johnson's current critical condition in an intensive care unit. The situation unfolded after Johnson failed to appear at a benefit event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd.
According to the GoFundMe post, after Johnson didn't arrive at the event, his wife frantically attempted to contact him. Hotel security eventually gained entry to his room, finding him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency responders reportedly struggled to detect a pulse.
His extensive contributions to Bethesda games include memorable roles such as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
