Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless others, has shared a moving update on his recovery after a near-fatal incident. Found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room last week, Johnson reveals in a GoFundMe video that he was in a coma.

The GoFundMe campaign, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 for medical expenses and outstanding bills, showcases Johnson's heartfelt gratitude. "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there," he shared, expressing his deep appreciation to everyone who contributed.

Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit. His absence from the event triggered concern, leading his wife, Kim, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

"Rumors of my demise weren't exaggerated," Johnson admitted. "It was very close. But I'm still here," he continued, crediting his wife's quick thinking and the actions of his son, who contacted hotel security. His five-day coma ended when he learned of the GoFundMe campaign, organized by friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and his wife.

Johnson expressed gratitude to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, to Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals parent company chairman) for a significant $25,000 donation, and to Glasser and Elliker for their tireless efforts. He also extended his thanks to Bethesda, who publicly expressed their support, stating, "You say that I'm your friend. I am. Always will be. Love you guys." Finally, he addressed his fans, expressing his love and assuring them, "I'm not going anywhere."

While his recovery will take time, Johnson remains optimistic, promising, "I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing you all then."

Johnson's extensive voice acting career includes numerous film and television roles, but he's particularly recognized for his work with Bethesda. Recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, along with memorable performances as Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
