Hearthstone's Into the Emerald Dream expansion arrives March 25th, introducing 145 new cards, exciting mechanics, and fearsome Wild Gods. This magical yet perilous expansion presents a choice: defend Ysera's threatened realm or succumb to chaos.
New Mechanics: Imbue and Dark Gifts
The core mechanic, Imbue, empowers six classes (Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Shaman) with the World Tree's blessings. Playing an Imbue card transforms your Hero Power, becoming progressively stronger with each subsequent Imbue card played. Hunters, for instance, receive the Blessing of the Wolf. Other classes are excluded from this benefit.
Conversely, Dark Gifts offer a path to corruption. This mechanic tempts Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior players with potent enhancements, synergizing with Discover options to create devastating minions. Ten unique Dark Gifts await.
Legendary Wild Gods
The expansion features powerful Wild Gods, one for each class. These colossal forces of nature are divided: some champion the Dream, while others embrace the Nightmare.
