Hulu may be bringing Buffy back from the dead! Variety reports a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot is in the works, with Sarah Michelle Gellar potentially reprising her iconic role as Buffy, albeit as a recurring character. The series will focus on a new Slayer.
Adding star power behind the camera, Academy Award winner Chloé Zhao (known for Nomadland and Eternals) is reportedly in talks to direct and executive produce. Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman are attached to write and serve as showrunners. Notably, original creator Joss Whedon is not involved.
