Game of Thrones: Kingsroad – Closed Beta Incoming!
Netmarble's upcoming Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, an action-adventure title based on George R.R. Martin's books and the HBO series, is launching a closed beta on January 15th. The beta, running until January 22nd, will be available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android users can register now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games, which focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a third-person perspective, placing you in the role of a House Tyrell heir. Explore Westeros, battle enemies, and climb the ranks of prestige. The trailer showcases Witcher-esque gameplay, with three distinct character classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin.
Winter is Coming (Again!)
Registration for the closed beta ends January 12th. While visually impressive, Kingsroad will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. Monetization strategies and long-term support will be key factors in its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, this could be the immersive Game of Thrones experience fans have long desired.
