Here's how to acquire and effectively utilize this crucial tool.

How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered

The Flare Knife is surprisingly accessible early on. Once you achieve Level 003 Code Clearance, head to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka's inventory includes the Flare Knife, available for purchase at a cost of 3,000 Entitlement Points.

Equipping the Flare Knife is straightforward. Navigate to the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal and select an available Combat Item slot. If you've purchased the Flare Knife, it will be listed among your available items, ready for deployment.

How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered

The Flare Knife is designed for severing Abductor parts, making it a valuable asset regardless of your preferred weapon type (Polearms, Heavy Melee, etc.). However, remember it's a single-use item; you'll need to repurchase it for each subsequent Operation.

To use it, lock onto a severable Abductor part and use your Thorn to grapple towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped, a severing option will appear. This triggers a quick-time event (QTE) requiring rapid button mashing. Successful completion severs the limb. Be aware, though, that the Abductor might try to interrupt you with a leap or by crashing into a wall.

Cooperative play offers an advantage. By working with friends, you can snare the Abductor repeatedly, creating more opportunities for successful severing.
