Final Fantasy XIV Free Login Campaign Returns
Square Enix has reintroduced the popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, offering a four-day free trial to eligible players with inactive accounts. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
The campaign, timed to coincide with the start of 2025, follows the recent release of Patch 7.15, which included new side quests in the Dawntrail expansion, notably the return of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinted at the future direction of the Dawntrail main storyline, sparking much player speculation.
This free access period provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to return to Eorzea and catch up. The campaign began January 9th, 2025, at 3:00 AM Eastern Time and ends February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time. The four-day playtime timer starts upon logging into the game launcher.
Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account, inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. Square Enix encourages players to verify their eligibility on the Mog Station.
Campaign Highlights:
- Free Play: Four consecutive days of free gameplay.
- Timing: January 9th - February 6th, 2025 (Eastern Time).
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
- Eligibility: Inactive accounts (at least 30 days prior), registered and purchased game.
While the Free Login Campaign is active, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) and await Patch 7.16 (releasing January 21st), concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series. Although Patch 7.2 is still some time off, returning players can use this free period to progress through Dawntrail's story. The future of Dawntrail in 2025 remains a mystery, eagerly awaited by fans.
