FromSoftware's upcoming title will only allow PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users to participate in early access testing. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This excludes a large segment of the fanbase from early access.
Bandai Namco has yet to explain the exclusion of PC players from this testing phase. However, those selected for console testing will enjoy exclusive early gameplay before the official launch.
Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of the original Elden Ring, offering new challenges within a dark and foreboding world. While console players get a head start, PC gamers will need to await further announcements regarding potential future testing opportunities.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game message feature. Director Junya Ishizaki clarified this decision, citing the approximately forty-minute session length as insufficient time for message interaction. He stated, "We removed the messaging feature due to the limited time available for sending and reading messages within the roughly forty-minute sessions."
