Dead Island 2: New Game+, Zombies, & Horde Mode Arrive

With the release of Dead Island 2 Patch 6, the game adds thrilling game modes, including the new Neighborhood Watch horde mode, as well as new bundles added to the Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition.

Dead Island 2 recently released Update Patch 6, incorporating a New Game Plus (NG+) mode enabling replay at increased difficulty, preserving inventory. Furthermore, players retain their leveled character, gaining three extra skill slots, a heightened level cap, novel weapons and skins, and new foes.

The new zombie variant, dubbed Revenants—enhanced Apex zombies—exhibits altered behaviors and improved abilities, designed for heightened difficulty. "This, combined with New Game Plus changes, elevates the challenge," the developers declared, promising a significant increase in difficulty.

To assist NG+ zombie eradication, all weapons receive power boosts exceeding their main game counterparts, with more high-rarity weapons. Additionally, the update introduces Neighborhood Watch horde mode, blending horde and tower defense elements, requiring base defense. Each five-day Neighborhood Watch run involves four days of base defense, enemy elimination, and objective completion for gear acquisition.
