Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game features a special Asian "global version" with English text support. Players can participate in mini-games, customize character appearances, and soak up the tropical island atmosphere. The developers promise numerous opportunities to build relationships with the heroines and become fully immersed in the romantic narrative.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a unique gameplay experience while retaining the series' distinctive style.
However, even this venture has its limitations, as highlighted by the ongoing battle against fan-created content. Annually, the publisher removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images depicting the game's characters.
The Dead or Alive series is known for its fighting mechanics and its attractive, often scantily clad, female characters. This has led to a significant amount of "adult" fan-created content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively combat the proliferation of unauthorized material.
