Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Streamlines Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launched today, introducing a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This helpful addition significantly eases the grind towards coveted camos like Dark Matter and Nebula. Let's explore how this new system works.

Simplified Camo Progress Tracking in Black Ops 6

The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a tool allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. But the real benefit lies in its "Near Completion" notification system. This feature proactively alerts players to challenges nearing completion, even if those challenges aren't actively tracked.

This eliminates the need to constantly check the main menu for progress. Players can now select their focus, easily monitor progress during gameplay, and receive timely updates on their near-completion challenges.

Managing Your Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

To track a challenge, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracker. This allows for real-time progress monitoring during matches.

The system also intelligently highlights near-complete challenges, even those not actively tracked, providing a comprehensive overview of your progress. These near-completion challenges are also displayed in the Daily Challenges section of the Black Ops 6 lobby.

Earning Mastery Camos Made Easier

Season 2 also simplifies the path to special camos. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, unlocking special camos now only needs five. However, two special camos are still required to unlock mastery camos.

This adjustment directly addresses player feedback concerning the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch's response demonstrates a commitment to improving the camo acquisition experience and enhancing overall enjoyment of Black Ops 6.
