How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
After completing the tutorial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll gain access to the open world. To kick off The Lion's Crest, head to Troskowitz and speak with the scribe Gaibl. He'll provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to gather the materials on your own, but you can craft the weapon at any blacksmith’s forge.
The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution
The riddle you receive from Gaibl is as follows:
“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”
To solve this riddle, start by leaving Trosky Castle through its northern gates, passing by the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower. Continue north into the forest.
Follow the road and keep an eye on the left side for rocky formations with crevices. Navigate through these crevices to reach a cave housing a chapel. Examine the cross on the rock next to the chapel to find the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour, along with two treasure maps that will guide you through the rest of the quest.

Continue west along the road from the chapel until you reach a crossroads. Head north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Look for trees just above the den to find a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.

The second map directs you to Vidlak Pond's small outpost. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house and search for a large rock formation along the cliffs. Climb to the rocks to discover a chest next to a cross.
Map 3
For the third map, fast travel to Zhelejov and head to the tavern, then exit the settlement. Cross the two bridges towards Tachov, but after the second bridge, find a small path leading to the river and forest. Follow this path to a hill and examine the large tree at the top to find bones and a bag with the armour.
Map 4
The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. On the hill, look for rocks with a cross on top to find the last piece of Brunswick’s armour.
