Apex Legends ALGS Year 4 Championships Heads to Sapporo, Japan!
The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 4 Championships are coming to Sapporo, Japan! This marks a significant milestone, as it's the first-ever ALGS offline tournament held in Asia. Get ready for intense competition as 40 elite teams battle for the championship title.
The event will be held at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025. Previously, ALGS championships have been hosted in North America, Europe, and other regions. This decision reflects the growing Apex Legends community in Japan and the strong demand for a local tournament.
"We're thrilled to bring the ALGS to Japan for the first time," stated EA's senior director of Esports, John Nelson. "The passionate Japanese Apex community has been vocal about wanting a local event, and we're delighted to make this happen at the impressive Daiwa House Premist Dome." Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto also expressed excitement, welcoming athletes, officials, and fans to the city.
Ticket information and further tournament details will be revealed at a later date.
Before the main event, don't miss the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) from September 13th to 15th, 2024! This is the final chance for teams to secure their spot in the championships. Tune in to the official @PlayApex Twitch channel to watch the action and see which teams make the cut.
