Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is preparing for its next major update, Rogue Frontier, launching February 3rd. This first significant update of the year introduces exciting new features and content.
Outlands Adventures
Rogue Frontier focuses on the Smugglers, rebels defying the Royal Continent's strict laws and establishing themselves in the Outlands. They've created hidden underground bases known as Smuggler's Dens, serving as crucial hubs for banking, repairs, and expedition planning. These dens are interconnected through the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the ongoing conflict between the Smugglers and Royal Guards. Help rescue captured Smugglers or deliver contraband within Smuggler Crates to earn rewards.
Rewards for Loyalty
Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens, offers valuable rewards for player loyalty. These include a Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and an Avatar.
A new addition is Kill Trophies, dropping from defeated players. The better the defeated opponent's loot, the higher the chance of obtaining a trophy.
New Weapons and Gear
Rogue Frontier introduces stylish new weapons:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summons a mist that repels enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Allows levitation and ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves during dashes.
