The popular food-themed RPG management game, The Tale of Food, is officially closing its doors. Initially launched in China in September 2019 (closed beta), and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game will cease operations on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Details:
In-game purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025. New player registration is also unavailable, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. Existing players can continue playing until the servers shut down on March 20th.
Refunds for In-Game Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to initiate the refund process. Server Closure Timeline:
The Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. The global server shutdown on March 20th, 2025 marks the final closure.
Community Remains:
While the game itself is ending, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a space for players to share memories and connect.
