How to Play
Ludo is a classic dice and race game where each player controls four pieces per house. Currently, Naija Ludo supports two players with two houses each, meaning each player controls eight pieces. The objective is to move all eight pieces to the center of the board before your opponent does.
Movement of Pieces
The game begins with the player in the red house. To start, a piece can only exit the house with a dice roll of 6. Once on the track, pieces can move with any dice outcome. The track comprises 56 steps, and a piece can only be removed by either completing the journey or by capturing an opponent's piece.
Piece Capture
Capture is a key strategy in Ludo. If a player's piece lands on a block occupied by an opponent's piece, the opponent's piece is captured and must return to its starting position. The capturing piece is then removed from the board. The aim is to capture as many of your opponent's pieces as possible while avoiding being captured yourself. Note that a piece cannot capture if the remaining dice outcome cannot be used.
Important Notes
- A player can roll the dice twice or more consecutively if each roll results in a 6.
- The outcome of a dice roll must be played before rolling again, regardless of the result.
- For a smoother and faster gameplay experience, enable DIRECT COUNT in the settings.
With these enhancements and detailed gameplay instructions, Naija Ludo offers a rich and customizable experience that keeps the spirit of the classic game alive while adding modern twists for today's players.
