Mau Mau, a German card game, is a variation of Crazy Eights. Played with a standard 32-card deck, each player receives an initial hand of five or six cards. The first player to exhaust their hand wins. Turns proceed sequentially, requiring players to match either the suit or rank of the previously played card. Certain cards possess special abilities: a seven compels the next player to draw two cards; an eight skips their turn; and a jack can be played on any card, allowing the player to declare a suit of their choosing.
