Story

The Holy Grail, a legendary artifact that grants its owner any wish, appears once every few decades. Seven sorcerers, known as masters, each summon a familiar, known as a servant, to compete in the Holy Grail War. The battle rages until only one remains, with each participant fighting for supremacy.

The servants come in various classes: the Knight "Saber," the Spearman "Lancer," the Archer "Archer," the Cavalry "Rider," the Sorcerer "Caster," the Assassin "Assassin," and the Berserker "Berserker." Protagonist Shiro Emiya, by chance, contracts with the powerful Saber, drawing him into the heart of the Holy Grail War.
