This digital application provides swift access to the scholarly works and biographies of the sect's prominent figures.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Technological advancements have become integral to modern life. To keep pace with this progress and the global exchange of culture, it is imperative for custodians of knowledge to utilize modern tools. This application preserves our scientific heritage while ensuring accessibility to a wider audience.
The Heritage Revival Center at the al-Abbas's shrines houses a significant collection of scholarly works. While this rich resource has not received the attention it deserves in terms of widespread publication, individual efforts to print certain volumes have been made.
Therefore, we have created this electronic application to serve scholars and heritage enthusiasts alike. It provides a readily accessible resource for those seeking information about the scholars of the sect and their contributions, facilitating research and discovery.
The application presents the book in three formats:
- A text format closely mirroring the original publication.
- A digital version of the printed book.
- A unique feature offering access to the author's handwritten manuscript. This allows users to verify potential typographical errors, addressing inconsistencies present in previously published versions.
Despite its simplicity, this application offers several advantages for researchers:
- Independent access to each of the three book versions.
- Search functionality across the entire encyclopedia or within specific sections (basic and advanced search options).
- Text copying and sharing capabilities.
- Printing options for all three formats.
- Simultaneous viewing of the text and printed versions, with adjustable zoom and linked page navigation.
- Indexes of translators (both per volume and for the entire encyclopedia), with searchable functionality.
- Ability to add pages to favorites (across all three formats).
- Note-taking and commenting features for each page and format.
In closing, we express our gratitude to all who contributed to the creation of this application, acknowledging the significant efforts of Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani (may Allah have mercy on him) for his work on typesetting, reviewing, and printing earlier versions; those who preserved the handwritten copy; and the team who developed this application. May Allah reward them all generously.
