StopotS is a popular categories game, also known as Scattergories, "City Country River," or simply Stop.
The game begins by selecting categories—for example, Names, Animals, Objects—which form the foundation of gameplay. Once chosen, a random letter is revealed, starting a new round. Players must fill each category with a word beginning with that letter. The first player to complete all categories shouts "STOP!" instantly halting the progress of other players. Through a voting system, players assess the validity of each answer. Correct answers earn 10 points, repeated answers 5 points, and incorrect answers 0 points. This continues until a predetermined number of rounds are completed.
