AVLView GPS Tracking System: Introducing the School Bus Module
The long-awaited School Bus module for AVLView's parent app is finally here! Schools can now leverage app.avlview.com to efficiently manage school bus schedules, designate pickup and drop-off locations, and provide parents with real-time updates on their children's bus arrival.
Key features of the AVLView School Bus module include:
- Pre-scheduled Trip Creation: Easily create and manage school bus routes in advance.
- Route Management: Define specific routes (geofences) for buses to follow.
- Waypoint Integration: Include student pickup and drop-off points as waypoints along the route.
- Automated Alerts: Receive instant SMS or email notifications for schedule violations, including time discrepancies, route deviations, and missed stops.
- Student Management: Add students with grade information (class, division, etc.).
- Trip Assignment: Assign students to specific trips and designated stops.
- Multi-Trip Support: Assign multiple trips per student (minimum two: pickup and drop-off).
- Interactive Map View: Visualize routes and stops clearly on an interactive map.
- Parent Sub-Accounts: Parents receive live tracking of the school bus, including estimated time of arrival (ETA) at designated stops.
Parents will receive alerts for:
- Student failure to board the bus.
- Student failure to disembark the bus.
- Boarding the wrong bus.
- Boarding from the wrong stop.
- Disembarking at the wrong stop.
- Bus en route for pickup.
- Bus en route for drop-off.
