"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Receives Last Major Update"

Summary

  • Rocksteady releases the final major content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
  • Season 4 Episode 8 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's servers will remain online, but no new content will be developed after the January 14 patch.

Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has released Season 4 Episode 8, marking the final major content update for this live-service game. Launched to mixed reviews in February 2024, the game's support will officially end on January 14, with the latest patch now available for download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Despite the promising premise of a superhero-themed game, the unexpected integration of live-service elements is believed to have contributed to its quick decline. Just 10 months after its release, Rocksteady announced on December 9, 2024, that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the last update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The studio confirmed that all online features will continue to function, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends.

Following a brief period of server maintenance, Rocksteady has rolled out the final content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. With servers now operational, players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, a range of powerful new Notorious weapons, and a new Mayhem mission that serves as the ultimate showdown with Brainiac. Additionally, the patch includes significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.

Even after the release of Season 4 Episode 8, the game's servers will remain active. Thanks to the Season 4 Episode 7 update in December, players can also enjoy Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offline, accessing the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. While Rocksteady has not announced plans to shut down the servers completely, the offline mode ensures that fans can continue playing even if the servers are eventually taken offline.

For those who missed out on experiencing this DC anti-hero title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3. Subscribers can also grab The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Explore more of the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, featuring new twists on familiar locations and fresh settings. Challenge yourself at The Quarry, a fortified citadel you must conquer to defeat Brainiac. The Arena offers a venue for jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles, while the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van evoke the spirit of chivalry and honor.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

The Infamy Set for Episode 8 draws inspiration from Libra, a formidable DC Super-Villain fixated on balance. His Infamy Set applies Scales of Libra stacks to enemies, boosting both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack. This set promotes a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, encouraging bold and dynamic gameplay.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Complementing Libra’s Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence weapons deliver a 200% damage bonus to enemies affected by Scales of Libra stacks. The Alt-Fire mode offers a 1,000% damage boost and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% within the zone, making it an excellent crowd control tool.

Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra stacks, and have a chance to electrify targets. Positioning multiple enemies in a single shot can lead to devastating results.

Chronos’ Equilibrium enhances the glass cannon playstyle, granting a 25% damage bonus for every 1% of missing Shield, pushing players into the heart of battle for a thrilling and powerful experience.
