Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over—A Style Statement with Shadowy Surprises!

Get ready for a stylish showdown in Pokémon GO! Fashion Week: Taken Over runs from January 15th to 19th, bringing a blend of high fashion and fierce battles. This event offers a unique opportunity to confront Team GO Rocket leader Giovanni and rescue Shadow Palkia. The event also features a Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th, offering a chance to catch this legendary Pokémon in its Shadow form.

Two new Pokémon, Shroodle and its evolution Grafaiai, make their debut! Shroodle can be hatched from 12 km Eggs. Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample chances to use Charged TMs to remove the Frustration attack from your Shadow Pokémon.

New Shadow Pokémon join the roster, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Keep an eye out for Shiny variations! For the first time, Remote Raid Passes are accepted for Shadow Raids, allowing participation regardless of location.

ytA special research task will lead you to a Super Rocket Radar, culminating in a battle against Giovanni for Shadow Palkia. Field Research tasks provide rewards like Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. A special Collection Challenge offers Stardust and a Trubbish encounter.

Don't forget to redeem your Pokémon GO codes before the event!

Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This offers increased Raid Pass availability, a higher Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate, and the chance for Ho-Oh to learn the devastating Sacred Fire Charged Attack. A $5 event ticket unlocks additional rewards.
