Pokémon Go will bring back Totodile for Community Day Classic in March 2025

Author : Zachary Apr 12,2025

Pokémon Go enthusiasts, get ready for a splash with the March Community Day Classic featuring Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokémon, on March 22nd from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. This is your golden opportunity to catch Totodile in abundance, and if you're lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Totodile.

Make sure to evolve your Croconaw into Feraligatr during the event or up until March 29th at 10:00 pm local time. Why? Because evolving during this window will teach your Feraligatr the powerful Charged Attack, Hydro Cannon. With 80 power in Trainer Battles and 90 power in Gyms and raids, Hydro Cannon is a must-have for any serious Water-type trainer looking to dominate.

To maximize your rewards, don't miss out on the Community Day Classic Special Research story, available for just $2 (or the local equivalent). Completing this research will not only enrich your experience but also reward you with a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and multiple encounters with Totodile, some of which will have a Seasonal Special Background.

ytLogging in during the event also grants you access to Timed Research, extending your chance to catch Totodile and evolve a Feraligatr with Hydro Cannon for a full week. And while you're at it, why not redeem some Pokémon Go codes for extra goodies?

The event is packed with bonuses to enhance your gameplay. Eggs will hatch at 1/4 the usual distance, and Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours. Plus, taking snapshots might surprise you with something extra.

Don't forget to engage with Community Day-themed Field Research, which offers Stardust, Great Balls, and additional Totodile encounters. And for a bit of friendly competition, check out the PokéStop Showcases where you can showcase your catches.

To round off your Community Day experience, two event bundles loaded with rewards will be available in the in-game shop. For even more options, visit the Pokémon Go Web Store.
