A New Hub For Hunters
The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub, the Grand Hub, designed to enhance the social aspect of Monster Hunter Wilds. Here, hunters can enjoy a range of activities from feasting together, arm wrestling, to enjoying nightly performances by the Diva. Additionally, a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game will be available, where players can earn vouchers and rewards through participation. To unlock the Grand Hub, reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives
Title Update 1 introduces the beloved monster Mizutsune, known for its swift tail strikes and water jets. Hunters at HR 21 or above can challenge Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by speaking to Kanya. Defeating Mizutsune offers new gear to craft, adding to the excitement of the hunt.
Additional Hunts on the Way
An Event Quest featuring the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau will test the skills of hunters at HR 50 and above, with new armor as a reward for those who succeed. Additionally, the opportunity to re-fight Zoh Shia through new quests after reaching HR 50 will be available, allowing players to craft new armor from this challenging encounter.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners will find their niche with the introduction of Arena Quests, where they can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be accessible through the counter in the Grand Hub, with pendants awarded for participation and achievement.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, the dedicated handler, will now have customizable outfits. Players can change her attire through an appearance menu in camp, with one new outfit available for free. Completing a specific side mission will also unlock the option to change Alma's glasses, adding a personal touch to your adventure.
More DLC is on the Way
Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be freely available, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, will offer new stickers, looks for Alma, and more.
More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
The game will see the addition of more Event Quests and Seasonal Events, with the Grand Hub transforming during these special times. The first event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has also confirmed the return of most previously available events and Event Quests.
The Roadmap Ahead
Title Update 1 will roll out on April 3 for U.S. players, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with additional features and a Capcom collaboration set to debut by the end of May.
