Get Ready for Dynamax Legendary Birds in Pokémon GO!
From January 20th to February 3rd, the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in their Dynamax forms in Pokémon GO! This exciting event offers players a chance to encounter and capture these powerful Pokémon.
The Legendary Trio's Appearance:
The Dynamax forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be available in five-star Max Raids at Power Spots. Each bird will have a specific debut week:
- Dynamax Articuno: January 20th
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 27th
- Dynamax Moltres: February 3rd
Each legendary bird will remain available for a full week following its initial appearance.
Legendary Flight Timed Research:
A special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" event will run concurrently, providing opportunities to catch Pokémon, including Shiny Pokémon, perfect for battling the legendary birds. You'll also earn Candy and Max Particles to power up your catches. The research event schedule (in local time):
- Dynamax Articuno: January 17th, 10:00 am – January 20th, 7:00 pm (featuring Charmander, Beldum, Scorbunny)
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 24th, 10:00 am – January 27th, 7:00 pm (featuring Drilbur, Cryogonal, Grookey)
- Dynamax Moltres: January 31st, 10:00 am – February 3rd, 7:00 pm (featuring Squirtle, Krabby, Sobble)
Victini Returns in Pokémon GO Tour: Unova!
The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova global event also offers a chance to obtain the Mythical Pokémon Victini. All players receive a free Tour Pass on February 24th, 2025, at 10:00 am (local time), allowing them to earn Tour Points and rewards until March 2nd, 6:00 pm (local time).
Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe unlocks additional rewards and faster progression, including an immediate encounter with Victini and the Lucky Trinket. This new item lets you become Lucky Friends with another player, guaranteeing a Lucky Pokémon trade (boosted stats and lower power-up cost).
