Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't worry! A second chance to hunt arrives in early February, bringing new content and improvements. Find out how to participate in this extended beta test!
A New Monster Joins the Hunt!
Following the success of the initial beta, Monster Hunter Wilds is offering a second Open Beta Test. This gives players another opportunity to experience the game before its official February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news in a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
The second beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta includes new content, notably the addition of the Gypceros, a familiar monster from the series.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and later transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Beta participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating, "We’ve heard from many of you that you missed the chance to take part in the first beta, or that you wanted to play again, which is why we decided to have a second one." He also confirmed that the development team is diligently working to finalize the full game. Note that the recent pre-launch community update showcasing improvements won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
