As soon as you dive into the expansive world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the vastness of the open-world can feel daunting. Navigating on foot can seem inefficient, which is why getting a horse is essential. Here’s how you can secure a trusty steed in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Getting Your Horse Back in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

First off, it's important to know that you can reclaim your original horse, Pebbles, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. To do this, make your way to Semine in the south and seek out the horse trader NPC. He's the key to reuniting with Pebbles.

However, the trader won’t hand over Pebbles without some negotiation. You have a few options: pay him in Groschen, attempt to persuade him, or use intimidation to get your horse back. In my journey, I followed the main questline and teamed up with Radovan the blacksmith. This allowed me to acquire new clothes for Henry, giving him the appearance of nobility, which helped me convince the trader to release Pebbles without any payment, though it did slightly damage my reputation in Semine.

If your persuasion efforts fall short, you'll need to pay the required amount of Groschen to retrieve Pebbles.

How to Steal a Horse

If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, stealing a horse is another route you can take. While wild horses are rare in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you're more likely to find them at farms or in stables. Stealing one comes with the risk of being caught by the owners, so tread carefully.

I suggest heading to Vidlak Pond in the west, where you'll find a farmhouse owned by fishermen. They have two horses that you can mount and ride away with.

After securing your new horse, make your way to the Nomads’ Camp just east of Vidlak Pond. There, you can speak with the horse trainer NPC who will teach you how to saddle and tame your stolen horse. Keep in mind, you'll need to compensate the trainer for his services.

Alternatively, you can skip the training and simply ride your new horse as is.
