In Freedom Wars Remastered, your journey begins with a staggering one million-year sentence simply for being born. As you work tirelessly to reduce this sentence, you'll also be striving to elevate your CODE level, which is essential for making life as a sinner more manageable.
Your CODE level unlocks more Entitlements, enhancing your gameplay by allowing you to run longer, upgrade your comrades, or improve your gear for easier battles against Abductors. The game features multiple CODE levels, and here's a breakdown of how many you'll encounter.
How Many CODE Levels Are In Freedom Wars Remastered
In Freedom Wars Remastered, there are a total of eight CODE levels for players to advance through. Once you upgrade your CODE level, there's no going back, so you can focus on progressing without worrying about inadvertently increasing your sentence beyond what's needed, especially in Deadly Sinner Mode. Each time you elevate your CODE level, you gain access to a wider array of Entitlements and new operations to tackle.
How To Increase Your CODE Level In Freedom Wars Remastered
To check how to upgrade your CODE level, simply converse with your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions". Typically, you'll need to reach specific year milestones in your prison sentence and unlock certain Entitlements. It's wise to regularly review this menu to ensure you're not wasting Entitlement Points on less critical upgrades, as you might need to donate resources to acquire more points later.
Donating a single high-end resource or weapon can often yield enough points for numerous Entitlements.
Advancing your CODE level isn't just about meeting these conditions; it's also intricately linked to the main storyline. You must complete the main story missions and operations, alongside fulfilling the upgrade conditions, to pass the CODE exam, which is part of the narrative. At times, the main story itself may serve as a substitute for the CODE exam needed to progress to the next level.
Operations are categorized by CODE levels, serving as a gauge of difficulty. You'll complete most operations as you progress through the story of each CODE, though occasionally, optional operations become available after advancing, offering additional support for those not fully ready for the challenges of the new CODE level.
