When a Gaming Legends skin graces Fortnite, it's anyone's guess when it will reappear in the Item Shop. Some, like Kratos, have been absent for years, but for Master Chief, the wait is over. The iconic protagonist of the Halo franchise, who had been in cryostasis for nearly 1,000 days since his last appearance on June 3, 2022, made a triumphant return on December 23, 2024.
Now, players can don their Spartan armor and leap from the Battle Bus as Petty Officer John-117 to secure a Victory Royale as Xbox's most celebrated mascot. But what exactly does the Master Chief Bundle in Fortnite include, and how many V-Bucks will it set you back?
How to Get Master Chief in Fortnite
1,500 V-Bucks

As of December 23, at 7 PM ET, players can navigate to the Fortnite Item Shop and find Master Chief in his dedicated tab. For 1,500 V-Bucks, you can purchase Master Chief, featuring his iconic Halo Infinite armor, along with the complimentary Battle Legend Back Bling. Although Master Chief doesn't yet have a LEGO Style, fans can still acquire a variety of Halo-themed items either through the Master Chief Bundle or as individual purchases:

How to Get the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
Epic Games has confirmed via their Fortnite Status account on X (formerly Twitter) that players can still unlock the Matte Black style for the Master Chief outfit. To do so, simply purchase the Master Chief outfit and then play one match of Fortnite Battle Royale on an Xbox Series X|S. This will unlock the coveted Matte Black style.
Previously, it was announced that the Matte Black style would no longer be available for players purchasing the skin after December 2024, but this decision has been reversed, allowing new buyers to unlock this exclusive style.
