Bandai Namco unveiled their latest venture, Digimon Alysion, a brand-new mobile trading card game (TCG) designed to capture the hearts of fans worldwide. This free-to-play game aims to expand the Digimon TCG audience by bringing the thrill of collecting and battling with Digimon cards to mobile devices. With the success of similar games like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, Digimon Alysion is set to make a significant impact in the mobile gaming space.

During the DIGIMON CON 2025 Livestream on March 20, Bandai Namco not only announced Digimon Alysion but also gave fans a glimpse of its gameplay through a new trailer. The trailer showcased snippets of the game and introduced an all-female cast, including new characters Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside a new Digimon called Gemmon. What sets Digimon Alysion apart is its in-depth story mode, promising a rich narrative experience in addition to the standard and competitive gameplay.

In addition to Digimon Alysion, DIGIMON CON 2025 shed light on Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara provided insights into the game's history, main characters, and showcased the special moves of various Digimon featured in the game. He confirmed that players will start their journey with one of three iconic Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime: Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon, as previously speculated by fans.

Hara also announced that Time Stranger will boast an impressive roster of over 450 Digimon, including fan-favorites like Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon. This makes Time Stranger the game with the largest Digimon roster in the series, surpassing its predecessor, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory, which had 330 Digimon.

Players will have the option to choose between two protagonists, Dan Yuki and Kanan Yuki, both secret agents for ADAMAS, an organization dedicated to uncovering threats to humans and Digimon. As suggested by the title, the concept of time plays a crucial role in the game's narrative.

The event also featured several other announcements, including a 25th Anniversary PV for the Digimon Anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon Trading Card Game, and a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, set to premiere in October 2025.
