Basic Information
Elytra are unique, rare items enabling players to glide. They significantly enhance exploration efficiency, especially when combined with fireworks. Visually, they resemble real wings, folding into a cloak-like appearance when not in use.
Naturally, Elytra are found only in the End after defeating the Ender Dragon, specifically within ships located near End Cities. However, alternative acquisition methods exist in other game modes, detailed below.
Obtaining Elytra in Minecraft Survival Mode
Preparing for Battle: Before venturing to the End, thorough preparation is crucial. Diamond or Netherite armor, ideally enchanted for enhanced protection, is essential. A well-enchanted sword and bow (consider Infinity or Power for the bow) are vital for combating the Ender Dragon. Stock up on arrows or a crossbow with fireworks for effective ranged attacks.
