Following the tea ceremony, it's crucial to confront Wakasa, as she is the true Golden Teppo of the Onryo. By doing so, you'll uncover her identity and execute her in the most straightforward manner possible.

Upon confronting Wakasa, she'll invite Naoe to her home for a private discussion. As you step into her abode, you'll notice the kasa (straw hat) she wore during the prologue as the Onryo hanging on her wall, confirming you've targeted the right person.

After some dialogue, Naoe has the opportunity to end the mission swiftly by grabbing Wakasa's Teppo from the wall and shooting her at point-blank range, resulting in a quick and satisfying resolution.

What If You Confront Otama in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Choosing to confront Otama after the tea ceremony still allows you to eventually kill Wakasa, but it complicates your journey. By mistakenly targeting Otama, Naoe will chase and eliminate her, only to discover through a letter that Otama was corrupt. However, this delay gives Wakasa time to fortify herself within Osaka Castle, surrounded by her soldiers.

To reach Wakasa, you'll need to travel to Osaka Castle and either fight her soldiers to get to her or navigate stealthily past them. If you've unlocked the Osaka Tenshu fast travel point, you can get close, but you'll still face some standard enemies along the way.

Even if you manage to sneak up on Wakasa for an assassination, a direct confrontation is inevitable. While the boss fight isn't overly challenging, confronting Wakasa initially avoids the extra hassle and provides a more cinematic and rewarding kill, especially considering her role in Naoe's father's death.

Now that you're aware of the optimal decision after the Tea Ceremony mission, consider learning how to gain XP and level up quickly in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* to tackle the game's tougher challenges. Additionally, discover how to efficiently earn more Knowledge Points, enabling you to unlock additional skills for Naoe and Yasuke.
